I have a question in if i passed in board exam, i’m always looking for a tips for passing board exam or even board exam tips and maybe on how to pass the board exam. In nursing, many students are frightened to take the board exam. I have known students who skip to file their application form for the first schedule of licensure exam (June) and wait for the next schedule (November) because they think they haven’t got the enough time to review and the feeling that they could not make it. There are some tips I can give on how to blast away your fears and make you pass. First, is to have a reason for passing, a great motivation comes if you have a reason. Basically, you would not try harder if you don’t have a reason to pass. Why would so? Try to think about your family, your friends, your schoolmates and your future during review time, definitely it was a great motivation that can work better but some failed to do so and just gain stress in their life since they didn’t do it in a healthy way. Remember the quotes “all work and no play make Jack a dull boy”. Make sure you have time to relax after a long hours of review. All the systems in our body exhaust especially our brain. Our brain is the primary organ that gives tasks to other body parts. Try to have a break for every topic or every subject you are reviewing. This would make you store all the knowledge you’ve learned.

Think also, that all you’ve heard and learned in the school and review centers are not enough. Try to open your textbooks and search for a general overview of the topic, find out and learn from yourself how those lecturers came out from those summaries they had discussed. By doing this you will be amazed how ideas and answers pour out to you during your exam. Review in the moment you feel like reviewing. Based on my own experience I read hand outs, books and answers questionnaires before going to sleep and after waking up. It varies on every person’s mood, surroundings (place without distractions), etc. My professor in my review center told us that the best time to review is to wake up 3:00 am in the morning and do a little warm-up, sit on the table and read. This 3:00 am review is based on the circadian rhythm of humans. Warming up gives you also good flow of oxygen to the brain that will provide better resource of memory. Get enough rest and sleep the night before you’re going to take the exam. This will help your brain to prepare you in the state of alertness the next day. Make sure that you also eat your breakfast before taking the exam since this is the most important meal of the day and will be your source of energy throughout the day. Do breathing exercises if you’re nervous. During exam you may encounter questions that is kind of familiar to you but you cannot dig in the necessary answers in your mind, if this happens don’t be stuck up for so long, your time is running so leave that questions for the mean time and move on to the next but be careful and be reminded to get back to those numbers you haven’t answered. If you really didn’t know the answers after all, even you have done elimination method, just make a guess from b,c,d not to include A because of some randomized way of computer to set up choices. Follow your first instinct in guessing the answers. Lastly, you should never to forget to ask God for his guidance and help. Ask him to give you instinct, knowledge, wisdom, confidence, and all the things you will need for the board exam. Remember we are nothing without Him.
